For this project, we used illustrator to warp and manipulate text to show values and shapes in photographs of our own choice. For the shape drawing, we used random letters and shapes that we thought best represented our facial features. Then for the line drawing, we took lyrics from a song or poem, and created lines using the text in the shape of whatever our picture was. And finally, for the text value project we had to define value by changing the spacing and kerning of the letters to make lighter or darker shades. I chose the song Can You Tell by Ra Ra Riot and used a photo of myself and my girlfriend.
